Burnt offerings and religious sacrifices are accpetable to God as long as they are expressions of our grateful dependence upon God’s righteousness and not an attempt to earn God’s favor.

Good morning, friends. Intercession is the fruit of a pure heart. The old acronym ACTS is true. Knowing the holiness and greatness of God, knowing our own sinfulness and God’s mercy toward us, letting gratitude for God’s loving kindness fill our hearts and our mouths, leads to unselfish praying for the people and the responsibilities of our lives. Amen. and Amen.

Good Saturday morning. We are prone to sin, we sometimes wander into it unaware. That why we need a prophylactic prayer, “Oh God of my salvation, deliver me from bloodshed” Psalm 51. Then you know what happens? Our mouths are full of praise. God is great and powerful and we are humbled and amazed. Take a minute and reflect on this great wonder. Debby
David asks God to “snatch” him away from situations where he is tempted to shed blood. You and I need to ask God to snatch us away from our sin-prone situations. Love, D

Good Monday morning, dear ones. Today’s word is perfect for me (and you) today. To continue to obey, even when the heat of repentance has cooled down, requires God to grant us a spirit that is willing to say yes to life and no to death. We need God’s perspective, a long term vision of where our obedience (even in the small things) will lead. Let’s pray with David and each other today, “sustain in me a willing spirit.” Amen.
Ask God to restock the shelves of your life with the joy you experienced when you first met Jesus. Amen
