What do you and the Queen of England have in common? Crowns that are ours by birthright. But wearing them with dignity and authority requires strength. Enduring temptations is what builds our muscles. God has a crown of life to give you.

Enduring temptation strengthens our muscles of faith, trust and obedience. We need this strength to be able to receive and wear the crown of life God has in store for us.

Let the rich boast that he/she is made low. James 1:10. God tells the story over and over again, worldly things will pass, only relationship with God is eternal. Let’s put our trust in God, not what we own.

When you are agitated and restless, it is likely because you are ignoring the wisdom God has graciously given you.
Ask in faith without doubt. In this instance doubt means “to be at variance with one’s self, to hesitate.” So we are to ask for wisdom, and not argue with our self about God’s generosity in giving it, or our ability to act on it. The Holy Spirit makes it possible. Trust.

When it comes to wisdom, we need to come to God, hat in hand so to speak. God has the resources we must have to survive.
OK, God has been generous in sharing his wisdom with me (and you). (James 1:5) I generally know what is the Godly and upright thing to do. My problem is doing it. I pray for the power to act on the wisdom God has given. Are you with me?
