Second Wednesday of Advent – an Advent woe

Advent tells the truth (as Isaiah declared in chapter 6, “Woe is me, I am lost, a man of unclean lips.”) the whole truth (“yet my eyes have seen the King!) and nothing but the truth – God graciously makes a way for us to bear God’s presence! Thank you and Amen. Debby

  1. The whole truth: “DO NOT CALL ANYONE FATHER, YOU HAVE ONLY ONE FATHER AND HE IS IN HEAVEN.”

The whole truth: ” WATCH OUT. BE ON GUARD AGAINST ALL FORMS OF GREED. LIFE DOES NOT CONSIST IN AN ABUNDANCE OF POSSESSIONS.”

IT IS AMAZING THAT YOU SEEK WISDOM FROM THE OLD TESTAMENT WHEN THE NEW DOESN’T MATTER.

“YOU HAVE A FINE WAY OF BRUSHING ASIDE YOUR GOD’S COMMANDS IN ORDER TO FOLLOW YOUR OWN TRADITIONS.”

THE WHOLE TRUTH IS YOUR JUDGEMENT!
