“The Lord alone will be exalted…the idols shall utterly pass away.” There are so many voices that call us, demanding our attention and allegiance; things like status, possessions, or appearance to name a few. Advent reminds us that all these acquisitions are temporary and unsatisfying. The Lord alone remains and fulfills.
