There will be times in your life and in your church when you are faced with a choice between two goods.
When faced with such a choice, following the Spirit leads you to choose the path where your dependence on God increases and your dependence on your self and your “natural abilities” decreases.
You’ll resist this choice – it seems counter-intuitive. It’s not about dishonoring your abilities and skills. It’s a matter of where your trust lies.
Remember God’s intention is to draw all creation into God’s heart of love. In this complete love there is no room for fear. Perfect love casts out fear.
Trust is the opposite of fear. To grow in love – grow in trust. Choose to trust God more and your self less.
